Tokenomics

TAL token

TaalSwap has the native platform token dubbed “TAL” which serves as both governance and liquidity-providing tokens. It is also used to pay yield farming rewards and collect transaction fees for token trading and liquidity providing.

  • Hard cap: 100 million TAL

  • The TAL mining reserve consists of 70% of all tokens (70M TAL).

  • Emissions will last for 5 years.

  • Emissions will increase as the number of users and LPs grow and then slowly decline according to the emission schedule.

Token Allocation Breakdown

  • Farms/Staking Rewards: 70M TAL (70%)

    • 15% of mining rewards allocated to sustainability and innovation

  • Reserve: 10M (10%)

  • Seed and Private Sale (Early believers and supporters): 20M TAL (20%)

Token Release Schedule

  • Farms and Staking Pools: Immediately available for trading and staking

  • Sale: Unlocked according to the vesting schedule agreed upon

  • Reserve: Used for various purposes such as marketing, user compensation, partnership, etc. Otherwise, locked for 5 years, then unlocked for TaalSwap rewards for farms and staking

TAL Emissions and Halving

  • TaalSwap initially mints 2.7 TAL per second as rewards for the first month, and TAL emissions will be reduced every month by 10%. For 5 years, the total number of minted TAL will be approximately 70 M.

  • After 5 years, TAL in the treasury that were collected from trading and performance fees and TAL in the reserve (and also the remaining TAL from 5 years of TaalSwap operation) will be reallocated to TAL rewarding pool for sustainability of TaalSwap.

  • The emission rate of TAL is very important to keep TaalSwap token economy healthy and sustainable. TAL emissions and their monthly reductions described above will suit the objectives of TaalSwap as an AMM protocol. In the meantime, it is also important to maintain the proper balance of TAL supply and demand. Thus, there may be a time when reducing the amount TAL in circulation would be more desirable for keeping TAL's market value. TaalSwap governance then could come into play to submit a proposal for adjusting TAL emission rate and request a community vote for approval.
