How to add/remove liquidity

The kernel of TaalSwap AMM lies in "Liquidity". You can add liquidity for any TaalSwap-supported token pairs by staking them through the Add Liquidity page.

On adding liquidity, you will receive LP tokens corresponding to your staked token pair, and hereafter receive a portion of trading fees for the pair as a reward. You can also stake your LP tokens in Farms to earn TAL.

Adding liquidity

To provide liquidity, you need to enter an amount of a particular token pair in the liquidity pool that you commit yourself to. The lowest value (in USD) of the two tokens will be the limit to the liquidity you can provide.

You can always and easily trade for any tokens you need. (Refer to How to trade tokens guide.)

The following example shows how to add liquidity using ETH and TAL.

1. Visit the Liquidity page. (If you have added liquidity pairs before, your liquidity pools, as seen in the screenshot below, will automatically appear on connecting your personal wallet.)

2. On pressing the Add Liquidity button, this window will pop up.

3. At the upper Input box, select a token from its dropdown menu. (In TaalSwap, the default token is set to ETH.) At the lower Input box, select a token from its dropdown menu that you wan to make a pair with.

4. Enter a token amount in either of Input boxes. The amount of the other token will be automatically calculated.

If your input amount on one pair goes above your balance, 'Insufficient [token] balance' (in this example, ETH) message box will appear instead of the Supply button.

If you join a pool for the first time, you have to approve your token before pressing the Supply button. On clicking on the Approve [token] button, you will be asked to confirm the action.

5. Now the Supply button will light up. Click on it.

6. A window will appear with the information about how much LP tokens you will receive and other relevant data. Click on the Confirm Supply button. Your wallet will ask you to confirm the action.

7. After a short wait, you will see your LP Token balance at the bottom of the page.

Removing liquidity

1. Visit the Liquidity page.

2. Click on the token pair of your choice under Your Liquidity. Let's take ETH/TAL pair as an example.

3. Click on Remove. A new window will pop up.

4. Use the buttons or slider to decide on how much you want to remove. Choose MAX to remove all of your LP tokens.

5. Click on Approve. Your wallet will ask you to confirm the action.

6. The Remove button will light up. Click on it.

7. A window will appear saying how much you will receive for each token. Click on Confirm. Your wallet will ask you to confirm the action.

8. After a short while, you will see your new LP Token balance at the bottom of the page.
